LEVEL 4- 4TH & 5TH GRADE- Ages 9-10
Level 4 Ballet & Contemporary: 55 minute combination class where students will focus on building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute Ballet & Contemporary technique. Each class will emphasize barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations for the ballet portion of class. For contemporary, the dancer is taught to interpret his or her movement with feeling, emotion, and style.
Ballet/Contemporary Dress Guidelines: Dancers may wear pink, black, or tan convertible tights and any color and style of leotard. Skirts are permitted. Pink or nude leather or canvas ballet shoes. Jazz pants/Capris/Leggings/Hot Shorts are permitted in the contemporary portion of class. Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes are required for ballet. Contemporary will be done in bare feet.
Male Dress Guidelines: Please dress comfortably in a solid color athletic pant or dance pant along with a t-shirt or tank top. Jeans are not permitted. Ballet shoes should be black canvas or leather, contemporary will be bare feet.
Level 4 Tap & Jazz: 55 minute combination class. Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of Tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm Tap. Exercises will focus on building flexibility of the knees and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The Jazz portion of class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns.
Tap & Jazz Combo Dress Guidelines: Dancers may wear leggings, hot shorts, leotards, crop tops. Crop tops are not sports bras and are fitted longer in the torso. Dancers may also wear leotard and tights, but they are not required. Skin color jazz shoes are required for jazz. Skin color slip on or oxford leather tap shoes are required for tap.
Male Dress Guidelines: Please dress comfortably in a solid color athletic pant or dance pant along with a t-shirt or tank top. Jeans are not permitted. Jazz- Black jazz shoes. Tap- Black tap shoes.
Level 4 Hip Hop: Hip Hop is a 55 minute class that is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip Hop dance requires students to have strength & stamina. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as rigorous warm up to help students prepare for more intense movement.
Female Dress Guidelines for Hip Hop: Dancers are permitted to wear leggings, joggers, sweats, or workout pants to class. Tanks and t-shirts are allowed. Jeans are not permitted. Shoes should be clean "studio only" tennis shoes. Dancers will be required to wear black pastry pop tart shoes for the recital.
Male Dress Guidelines for Hip Hop: Please dress comfortably in an athletic pant or dance pant along with a t-shirt or tank top. Jeans are not permitted. Hip Hop shoes should be black Pastry pop tart shoes.
Level 4 Acro: This class focuses on basic tumbling and dance skills to develop strength, coordination, timing, and flexibility. Beginning acro technique and basic vocabulary are introduced. Students will work on a variety of skills such as handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, and beginning back handsprings & aerials.

Acro: Dancers are permitted to wear leggings, joggers, or workout pants to class. It is recommended dancers wear leotards, but not required. All dancers must wear attire that they are comfortable doing inversions while wearing. (Handstand holds for example.)
Level 4/5/6/7 Musical Theatre: The 55 minute musical theatre class will focus on learning proper technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Emphasis will also be placed on learning acting and performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling stories.
Music Theatre: Dancers may wear leggings, hot shorts, sweatpants, or any athletic type bottoms. Tanks, Tshirts, leotards, and crop tops are all appropriate tops. Crop tops are not sports bras and are fitted longer in the torso. Tights are not required. Tan jazz shoes are required for female dancers, and black jazz shoes for male dancers.
Level 4/5/6/7 Pom: Pom dance is a high-energy, fast-paced, and visually appealing dance style that emphasizes precise and synchronized arm movements, formations, jumps, and skills. Pom can also incorporate both jazz and hip hop style movements. Jazz-inspired technique includes kicks, turns, leaps, and extensions, while hip hop-inspired techniques include isolations and body movements. This is a 55 minute class, and is great for those wanting to prepare for cheer or middle or high school dance team.
