Competition Mission Statement:
To have our dancers achieve new levels of artistry and performance beyond what is possible in their regular class work. To train and empower students to a pre-professional level with a competitive edge who may consider dance as a major or minor in college. To make possible a young dancer’s dream to pursue a career in theatre, dance performance, or as a dance educator.
Sherri’s Dance Center is excited to begin the new competition season. For us, competition will always be about motivating, inspiring, and educating young dancers in a positive, healthy, and encouraging environment. Competitions help dancers learn to respect other dancers, studios, and teachers/choreographers for their talents and differences. The program is designed to delight dancers of different ages and ability levels by improving technique, developing confidence in performing, and continuing to improve their dancing year to year. Our program builds character, positive learning skills, work ethic and friendships as well as giving students the opportunity to share in the joys and challenges of being part of a team. We want to be a positive influence in all aspects of our students' lives, not just at dance.

the company
The competition company is an audition based group that represents Sherri's Dance Center at all dance competitions and conventions. This prestigious group performs various choreographic works created by various artists that are affiliated with Sherri's Dance Center.
